Roadway Engineering Intern

We are seeking an enthusiastic Intern to join our Roadway Engineering team. Under the guidance of experienced professionals, you will engage in a variety of engineering tasks, providing you with a chance to apply your academic knowledge and develop your skills in a real-world setting.

Responsibilities: 

• Prepares simple engineering and construction drawings from sketches or verbal instructions using MicroStation or AutoCAD.
• Prepares simple engineering calculations and inputs into industry standard analysis software.
• Performs related fundamental engineering support tasks such as making/updating simple calculations, checking/reviewing drawings, proofreading reports, etc.
• Supports field assignments that may include inspections of various roadways and highways. 

Requirements:

• Must be currently enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate Civil Engineering or a closely related field
• Candidates must have basic knowledge of CAD, spreadsheets, interpreting design drawings and technical writing
• Interest in Roaday and Highway Engineering (design, inspection, construction)
• Self-motivated team player with strong verbal and written skills
