As Gannett Fleming continues to grow and expand, we are looking for a highly motivated Cybersecurity/Information Technology Intern to join our Information Technology team. This is a remote internship with daily team engagement and the opportunity to work in a Gannett Fleming office depending on the location of the intern. 

 

In this role, the intern will contribute to protecting the firm from infrastructure vulnerabilities. You will gain exciting hands-on experience while working with a motivated project team, in a dynamic work environment.

Working closely with supervisors and mentors, you will have the opportunity to: 

  • Collaborate with team to assist with cybersecurity incident response activities and investigations.
  • Assist with cybersecurity help desk ticket assessments and resolutions.
  • Review and update cybersecurity related documentation including policies, procedures, standards, or guidelines.
  • Perform cybersecurity research and evaluate solutions.
  • Assist with cybersecurity tools.
  • Stay up to date on the latest cybersecurity threats and trends.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Enrollment in an accredited Bachelor's Degree or Master's Degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science/Engineering, Information Technology or equivalent degree
  • Completed at least one semester of Sophomore year
  • An interest in learning more about careers in the cybersecurity industry
  • Must possess excellent customer service, strong communication and interpersonal skills, work well with others in an integrated team environment, and must be selfmotivated.
  • Strong analytical skills

 

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Familiar with cyber and information security best practices
  • Familiarity with Microsoft O365 EMS capabilities including Azure AD, SSO, Modern Authentication, MFA/Conditional Access, Defender ATP, DLP, AIP, MCAS

Location: United States; Remote with the opportunity to work in a Gannett Fleming office depending on the location of the intern.

Employment Status: Hourly (30-40 hours per week)
