In this role, you’ll work on the removal of water tanks, an effort that directly improves public safety and the environment by eliminating outdated structures that may pose contamination risks. This work is essential in enhancing water quality and protecting the surrounding ecosystem, making a tangible difference in the health of our communities.

 

*Travel to Manhattan and Staten Island needed.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Maintenance of construction project records
  • Interface with the Resident Engineer and Senior inspection staff on various facets of the project including: contract change orders, item payments, and material testing
  • Perform onsite inspections, prepare daily reports, punch lists, and other construction phase-related documents
  • Attend project meetings
  • Assist with preparation of meeting reports
  • Assist with preparation of monthly progress reports and maintain project logs
  • Perform review of daily inspection reports and quantity computations
  • Assist in determining schedule and budget requirements
  • Assigns tasks to and coordinates work with entry-level engineers, technicians, or administrative staff
  • Assist in preparation of technical specifications, the scope of work, design drawings, engineer's estimate, RFPs, etc.
  • Review design drawings and assist in developing recommendations
  • Review project submittals, RFP responses, change orders, and other project-related documents

Qualifications

  • Highschool diploma 
  • 3-5 years related experience.
  • Proficiency with MS Office (Excel, Word, Power-Point, and Outlook).
  • Proficiency with Construction Management, Scheduling and Document Management software preferred.
  • Proficiency with drafting software AutoCAD
  • OSHA 10 or above.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Must possess a driver’s license to fulfill the essential functions of the position
