Our Washington DC office is currently looking for a Sr. Construction Manager to join our team to support a  large-scale bus garage facility project for a major transit agency.  Estimated design/build contract value in excess of $500 million.

 

In this capacity you will act as the Owner representative to provide construction management and coordinate with inspection services for the project. Performs assignments that may not be clearly defined and requires the development of construction documents, procedures, and criteria. Additional responsibilities of the role include:

  • Conducts and documents project meetings with clients.
  • Manages and coordinates with construction field personnel, including teaming partners.
  • Responds to solicitations and prepares proposals and presentations.
  • Provides technical support for change orders and claimsand cost estimates.
  • Prepares and monitors project schedules and budgets.
  • Prepares and issues reports and correspondence.
  • Approves completed activities, quantities for measurement and payment purposes.
  • Approves construction payment applications.
  • Supports negotiations and documents construction change orders and claims.
  • Resolves technical issues.
  • Performs constructability reviews and value engineering studies.
  • Leads Risk Management assessments.
  • Prepares and monitors Quality Control and Assurance Plans.
  • Develops Standard Operating Procedures.

  • BS in Engineering or Construction Management preferred
  • PE or CCM preferred
  • 10-15 years’ experience
  • Experience with Primavera P6 preferred
  • 10-hour OSHA Safety course
  • Proficiency with MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook)
  • Proficient with Construction Management software (ProCore, BlueBeam, Fieldwire, etc)
  • Good oral and written communication skills
  • Must possess a driver’s license to fulfill the essential functions of the position.
