As BIM Manager you will create, manage, and protect our digital infrastructure.

 

Software Evaluation, Management & Implementation

 

Understand and manage BIM software as it pertains to projects (existing, new and future) including setup, deployment, interoperability, versions/releases.

SME & Mentorship

  • Trusted advisor for your region and project managers with ability to communicate best practices regarding to project capture and staffing.
  • Coordinate with Digital Delivery Team and technical working groups to advance BIM initiatives.
  • Coordinate with Business Development & Marketing to advance BIM initiatives via web, literature, interviews, conferences, etc.
  • Identify trends and business opportunities relating to BIM. Evaluate and make recommendations regarding BIM software and future initiatives and developments.
  • Provide technology and network support as it relates to BIM production on projects including trouble shooting project difficulties.
  • Coordinate BIM training needs among staff and evaluate potential new hires. 

Project Capture, Coordination & Management

 

Project Capture

  • Resume will be managed and used to capture work
  • Identify project and client requirements / standards
  • Responsible for identifying best software(s) to leverage during the pursuit of a project
  • Help identify and assign key digital staff
  • Help identify potential project risks
  • Setup/manage project CDE

 

Project Management

  • Develop project implementation plan (Folder structure, Project BIM Execution Plan)
  • Coordinate project kickoff meetings and future coordination meetings
  • Troubleshoot all project related technical issues.
  • Assist project designers to use a model-centric workflow, where all design components are integrated into a 3D model, enabling more accurate visualization and analysis.

 

Project Coordination

  • Supports collaboration among multiple stakeholders, such as engineers, surveyors, and contractors, allowing them to work on the same model concurrently and reducing errors.
  • integrate projects with various data sources, including GIS, to enhance the contextual accuracy of road designs by incorporating real-world environmental data.
  • Establish workflows for transfer of data, QAQC procedures for that process and responsibilities.
  • Be that link between GF, Subs, Contractor, and Client (POC for those meetings)

Standards

  • Responsible for BIM Standards development, implementation, and enforcement - Using Client or GF Standards
  • Assist in developing and enforcing BIM documentation and project workflows
  • Provide Quality Control Reviews of digital deliveries to the project client

Required Qualifications

 

  • Minimum 8 years of experience in the AEC industry with at least 3 years in a BIM-focused role.
  • Experience managing complex, multidisciplinary projects in a BIM environment.
  • Proficiency in BIM authoring platforms from Bentley Systems (i.e. OpenRoads, OpenBridge, etc.)
  • Proficiency in ProjectWise.
  • Understanding of 3D, 4D, and 5D BIM processes, including clash detection, scheduling, and quantity take-offs.
  • Knowledge of ISO 19650 and other relevant BIM standards.
  • Strong leadership and team management abilities.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • Problem-solving mindset with the ability to troubleshoot technical challenges.
  • Attention to detail and a commitment to high-quality work.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced dynamic environment.

 

Preferred Qualifications

 

  • Proficiency in BIM software such as Autodesk Revit, Navisworks, AutoCAD, ACC, and Civil3D.
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Architecture, Engineering, Construction Management.
