Gannett Fleming TranSystems is looking for a motivated Area Manager to develop, lead and execute a Philadelphia & Southern New Jersey focused strategic plan for growing Gannett Fleming water market share. Perform on-going market research and analysis to access potential client needs and objectives.
 
At a high level you will engage with key clients, build relationships with teaming partners and industry peers, while also promoting Gannett Fleming’s broad technical capabilities and brand as an employer of choice. You will collaborate with other regional leaders on key initiatives with an emphasis on client account strategy and planning, as well as leveraging industry knowledge to support effective marketing and business development aimed at driving revenue.  In this capacity you will: 
 
• Lead and manage water/wastewater business development activities to effectively grow market share for the firm. 
• Identify potential clients and lead initiatives for enhanced business development performance and efficiencies for continued growth. Develop a deep understanding of the client requirements in order to create customer-specific capture strategies, structure and build pursuit teams; and oversight of proposal development process.
• Lead regional growth in the Water Business Line, including identifying and managing key hires to support growth.
 Project Execution
• Act as Project Principal to oversee multiple, concurrent projects through the entire life cycle, from project development through construction completion to meet client objectives.
• Serve as Project Manager on strategic projects regionally
• Coordinate resources across Water Business Line in delivery of projects.
 Regional Leader
• Support large project pursuits in the region
• Execute long-term business and marketing strategies targeting water/wastewater industry.
• Closely collaborate with internal practice leadership team (PLT) across multiple regions to facilitate achievement of the waste/wastewater business goals, aligned with the overall growth strategy.
• Develop and manage internal and external relationships to facilitate the successful delivery of all assignments.
• Support regional strategic planning and annual business planning process.
• Develop and foster meaningful, trust-based relationships with community partners, agencies and other water focused organizations to advance the mission of the water business line through collaboration and shared goals. 
• Willingness to travel throughout the region to assist with business develop and pursuit activities, participate in presentations to cultivate new and ongoing business endeavors 

 

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering or other related fields, advanced degree preferred
• Professional Engineer, PE 
• 20+ years of relevant water/wastewater facility, conveyance and utility system planning, program and project/construction management experience
• Progressive management and leadership experience, with preference given to medium to large-scale water and wastewater capital programs 
• Demonstrated successful performance in the development of significant client accounts and revenue based upon client service, project satisfaction, technical quality, schedules and budget compliance. 
• Proven ability and accomplishments in leading medium to large-scale water/wastewater projects – ability to communicate program successes and challenges in an articulate manner
