Senior Highway Engineer

We are looking for a highly motivated Senior Highway Engineer to join our Denver team and contribute to exciting upcoming projects. This role offers the opportunity to work on complex highway design projects in a hybrid work environment while collaborating with industry-leading professionals. Responsibilities:

• Perform engineering design tasks for highway projects from preliminary to final design
• Develop construction contract documents, such as specifications, cost estimates and review construction documents such as shop and working drawings.
• Establish working relationships and contact with client technical staff and project managers especially in CDOT and local governments
• Mentor and assist junior engineers in developing final design plans
• Collaborate with highway staff to develop projects
• Coordinate design activities and meetings between design staff, subcontractors, and client managers
• Participate in project decisions regarding technical approaches, cost and scheduling performance
• Works as part of a project team within the highway disciplines.
• Perform Deputy PM and PM tasks.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering required
• PE required
• 10+ years of experience working in Traffic and Highway/Roadway design.
• Must have excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Must have the ability to interface with all levels of personnel and management.
• Experience working with Colorado Department of Transportation (CDOT) preferred
• Experience with MicroStation, OpenRoads Designer (preferred), ProjectWise and Microsoft Office
• Local candidates preferred
