Gannett Fleming TranSystems is seeking a  Automation and Control Programmer to join our Building and Places Business Group  in East Brunswick, NJ or Marlton, NJ or Newark, NJ!
This role follows requiring regular attendance at our East Brunswick, NJ or Marlton, NJ or Newark, NJ office.

In this capacity, the successful candidate will be responsible for the following:
 
  • PLC programming using IEC 61131 standards
  • Add-on instructions and predefined HMI faceplates using global asset tagging
  • Control system architecture/networking design
  • Server architecture design and configuration using virtual servers with redundancy capability
  • Webserver server setup and configuration
  • Understanding and translation of PLC control and hardwired relay panel design drawings and BOMs
  • Knowledge of all major communication and I/O protocols
  • SCADA / HMI programming development
  • Process Historian database and reporting systems
  • Batch process and PID loops
  • Ability to understand control narratives and translate into field programming
  • Conduct factory and field testing of automation systems
  • Life Sciences GMP Validation & Commissioning support

 

 

What you will bring to our firm: 
  • Minimum Associates Degree in engineering or related technical discipline.
  • 4-5 years progressive experience in automation and controls
  • Experience in the creation of quality technical solutions and the design delivery of major automation projects.
  • Must be familiar with UL 508A standards
  • Familiar with working in restricted GMP ISO areas and general understanding of the Life Sciences and manufacturing industries
  • Experienced with validated cGMP systems and CFR Title 21 Part 11, 210, and 211 requirements.
  • Proficiient with AB Rockwell Automation, GE, Modicon, and Control Microsystems PLC platforms 
  • Proficient with GE, Rockwell Automation, Wonderware HMI / SCADA  and OIT platforms
  • Proficient wiht OSI PI, Aspen, Rockwell historian, GE process historians
  • Proficient with VMWare, HyperV, and Docker
  • Proficient with Win911, RACO alarm dialer systems
  • Proficient with RSLinx, Kepserver, Archestra
  • Proficient with Microsoft Excel and Word
  • Proficient with Microsoft SQL server and other relational databases
  • Proficient with XLReporter, FT VantagePoint, SSRS Reporting applications
  • Familiar with Autodesk AutoCAD and modeling applications
  • Ability to be onsite and travel to client locations as project assignments require in the central NJ or eastern PA regions.
  • Strong communication skills
  • Will regularly interface with clients and multidisciplinary project team members
  • Must have a positive attitude to excellence, continual improvement, and innovation

Compensation:
The range for this position is salary range is $85,000 - $105,000. Salary is dependent upon experience and geographic location.
