Gannett Fleming TranSystems is seeking a Senior CAD Technical to join our Water / Wastewater Team in Houston, TX! This role follows a hybrid work model, requiring regular attendance at our Houston office.

Gannett Fleming TranSystems is looking for a Senior Level CAD Designer to join our Houston Team to work on Water and Wastewater projects including Wastewater Treatment Plants and Lift Station upgrades and rehab projects. What you’ll be challenged to do:
This is an excellent career opportunity for an experienced, motivated Senior Level CAD Designer who has worked on Lift Stations and other Water and / or Wastewater Facility projects.
 
In this capacity, the successful candidate will be responsible for the following: 
  • Work with the lead engineer to understand the scope of work, schedule, budget, project instructions and responsibilities.
  • Creating, maintaining and editing design drawings and construction plans for water and wastewater projects utilizing Autocad-Civil 3Dsoftware.
  • Prepare clear, complete, and accurate drawings from rough or detailed sketches
  • Involved in application of engineering fundamentals to design.
  • Work with lead engineer to determine intent and contents of each drawing.
  • Complete drawing responsibility tasks within scope, budget and schedule: review drawings for completeness, constructability and coordination.
  • Start and maintain a discipline file of working drawings for the project.
  • Works independently on design projects.

What you will bring to our firm:
  • 7-10 years’ relevant experience in the production and management of Water and / or Wastewater design using Civil 3D, AutoCAD, and Bluebeam.
  • Technical degree or equivalent from an accredited technical college.
  • Experience with design of water lines, sewer lines, piping design, wastewater force main, etc. required
  • Experienced user of AutoCAD and Civil3D required
  • Bluebeam experience/familiarity highly desirable
  • Experience with the City of Houston CADD standards or permitting process is an asset.

Compensation:
The range for this position is salary range is $75,000 - $95,000. Salary is dependent upon experience and geographic location.
