GFT is seeking a highly organized and proactive Capital Program Technician to join our Transit & Rail group in Baltimore, MD. This is a hybrid position with a primary work location at a client transit operations facility.

What you’ll be challenged to do:
The Capital Program Technician will support the coordination and administrative activities related to scheduled construction and maintenance work blocks. This role helps align internal stakeholders and documentation procedures to ensure that all capital and maintenance activities are effectively integrated with day-to-day transit operations.
In this capacity, the successful candidate will be responsible for the following:
Assist the Manager of Workblock Coordination with day-to-day administrative and planning functions.
Support scheduling and coordination of construction-phase projects and planned maintenance activities.
Help develop and maintain work block procedures, templates, and tracking tools.
Communicate regularly with project teams, operations staff, consultants, and contractors to ensure alignment.
Maintain shared calendars, meeting schedules, agendas, and preparation materials for coordination sessions.
Manage and monitor the centralized work block request email inbox.
Ensure that documentation and records management practices conform to agency policies.
Foster productive working relationships across departments and stakeholders.
Support additional administrative or coordination duties as assigned.
What you will bring to our firm:
Minimum 2 years of professional experience supporting capital project teams, engineering departments, or maintenance and operations programs, or related areas within transportation or transit & rail.
Associate’s degree in Business Administration, Communications, Liberal Arts, or a related discipline.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
Familiarity with Adobe Acrobat and common document management practices.
Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
Excellent organizational, multitasking, and time management abilities.
Eligible to work in the United States.
What we prefer you bring:
5+ years of experience in an administrative or coordination role within a capital projects or operations environment.
Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Communications, Liberal Arts, or a related discipline.
Experience with tools such as ProjectWise or Power BI.
Knowledge of capital project delivery processes and construction coordination within transit environments.
Familiarity with Maryland-based public transit agency processes, particularly work block planning, is a strong plus.
Ability to travel to off-site project or operational facilities as needed.
Compensation:
The salary range for this role is $70,000 – $110,000. Salary is dependent upon experience and geographic location.
