What you’ll be challenged to do: 

Successful candidates will have demonstrated professional experience in structural engineering and bring leadership, technical expertise, and mentorship skills to support broad portfolio of projects.  Projects include participation in a wide variety of water treatment facilities, wastewater treatment facilities, pump stations, dam structures, and various building structures.

In this capacity, the successful candidate will be responsible for the following:  

  • Lead and manage structural design efforts across a variety of projects including water, wastewater, industrial structures, dam structures, buildings and other facility-related structures.
  • Supervisor and mentor junior engineers on projects by providing guidance, training, and quality control reviews.
  • Prepare and review construction documents, including plans, details, and technical specifications.
  • Conduct reviews of contractor submittals such as shop drawings, RFIs, and substitution requests.
  • Perform structural observations on existing and new structures.
  • Develop clear, concise, and well-organized technical reports and design documentation.
  • Maintain strong working knowledge of building codes, structural design standards, and construction practices.
  • Apply advanced knowledge in structural systems including masonry, steel and concrete; familiarity with wood design is considered a plus.
  • Support business development efforts by identifying opportunities, developing client relationships, and contributing to proposal preparation and project pursuit efforts.
  • Collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams to deliver integrated engineering solutions.
  • Demonstrate strong time management skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Maintain a commitment to project schedules, budgets, and client satisfaction.
  • Proactively identify and solve technical and project management challenges.
  • Team player.

What you will bring to our firm:  

  • Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering with an emphasis in Structural Engineering is required. 
  • Professional Engineering (PE) license required.
  • Minimum of 15 years of experience working as a project manager and structural design engineer on water, wastewater, dam, and/or various building related projects. 
  • Familiarity with RISA, ETABS, SAP2000, RAM Structural System, RAM Concept, STAAD, Mathcad, TEDDS and other structural engineering analysis and design related software.
  • Experience with AutoCAD and REVIT.

Compensation: 

The salary range for this role is $110,000 - $155,000. Salary is dependent upon experience level.
