GFT is seeking a Structural Inspector, Bridges to join our Transportation team in Toronto, ON. This role follows a hybrid work model, requiring regular attendance at our Toronto office.

What you’ll be challenged to do:

 

As a Structural Inspector, you will play a pivotal role in completing detailed visual inspections across southern Ontario. This is an exciting opportunity for career expansion, as you will engage in complex problem solving, enhance processes, and spearhead small projects to ensure successful project delivery. This position will allow for collaboration with peers, senior levels, and stakeholders to tackle challenges, contribute to professional growth, and prepare for leadership roles.

 

In this capacity, the successful candidate will be responsible for the following: 

 

  • Planning and completing routine and enhanced bridge and culvert inspections in accordance with the OSIM.
  • Training and mentoring junior staff.

What you will bring to our firm: 

 

  • Minimum 4 years of relevant experience in bridge and culvert inspection

What we prefer you bring:

 

  • Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Knowledge of federal, provincial, and local laws relevant to transit operations.
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Capable of working independently and in a team on day-to-day inspections.
  • Flexibility to travel to sites and work outside of normal business hours.

Compensation:

 

Salary is dependent upon experience and geographic location.
