GFT is seeking a Senior Strategic Project Integration & Market Development Specialist to join our Shared Services Team in Austin, TX! This role follows a hybrid work model, requiring regular attendance at our Austin office.

 

GFT Shared Service Services team, which includes Human Resources, Legal, Accounting & Finance, IT Services and Marketing & Communications,  are essential for managing and supporting the company's global operations. Shared Services are part of a broader strategy to transform the business and improve efficiency. The support of this amazing team of professionals, is the backbone of our ability to deliver infrastructure consulting and design services.  

 

What you’ll be challenged to do:

The Senior Strategic Project Integration & Market Development Specialist plays a pivotal role in operational excellence across newly acquired projects. This position will lead efforts to analyze financial data for acquisitions, guide project managers in ERP system adoption, and contribute to high-level execution of complex engineering projects. With a focus on expanding market presence in Texas, the Specialist will apply deep client knowledge and business acumen to foster successful integration and long-term growth.
 
This is a strategic and hands-on role for a seasoned professional who thrives on navigating complex environments, optimizing project frameworks, and delivering exceptional results. 

 

In this capacity, the successful candidate will be responsible for the following:

  • Conduct detailed financial assessments of acquired engineering projects to evaluate revenue position, cost structures, and profitability, supporting integration and decision-making processes.
  • Serve as a key advisor and trainer to project managers (PMs) on the use of ERP systems, with a focus on project financial setup, reporting accuracy, and system best practices.
  • Collaborate with executive and regional leadership to support the firm’s strategic growth goals in the Texas market, leveraging knowledge of existing and emerging client relationships.
  • Lead and support high-level project execution for complex and critical engineering engagements, ensuring alignment with business objectives and excellence in delivery.
  • Identify and implement integration strategies for acquired project portfolios, ensuring seamless operational and cultural assimilation.
  • Provide insight-driven recommendations to optimize project financials and enhance billing and closeout procedures.
  • Monitor Texas market trends and develop client strategies that enhance visibility, opportunity capture, and revenue growth.

What you will bring to our firm: 
  • Bachelor’s degree in business, finance, engineering, or a related field.
  • Eight (8) or more years of relevant experience in project finance, strategic operations, or engineering project management, preferably with a background in the A/E/C industry. 
What we prefer you bring: 
  • Demonstrated experience in financial analysis for engineering or technical projects, particularly in acquisition or integration scenarios.
  • Strong ERP knowledge with hands-on training, implementation, and user support experience (e.g., Oracle, Deltek, etc.).
  • Familiarity with engineering project financials including fee structures, revenue recognition, cost forecasting, and risk assessment.
  • Proven success in contributing to regional market expansion, with strong client relationship development skills—particularly in the Texas market.
  • High-level project execution expertise, including planning, delivery, and closeout of complex initiatives across multidisciplinary teams.
  • Exceptional communication skills with ability to influence, train, and collaborate across departments and leadership tiers.
  • Adept at identifying improvement opportunities and translating insights into operational enhancements.
  • Strong understanding of business strategy and its intersection with project delivery and client development.
 Compensation:
The salary range for this role is $180,000 - $195,000. Salary is dependent upon experience and geographic location.
