GFT is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Electrical Engineering Technician to join our Buildings & Places group in our Mechanicsburg, PA office.

What you’ll be challenged to do:

The Electrical Engineering Technician will support the design and development of electrical engineering work products across a wide range of projects.

 

In this capacity, the successful candidate will be responsible for the following:

  • Prepare construction drawings and technical plans with limited complexity to support broader engineering efforts.
  • Collect and document field data for use in electrical system design.
  • Use CADD software to develop construction documents under the guidance of engineering staff.
  • Collaborate within a design team to complete assigned project tasks.

What you’ll bring to our firm:

  • Associate’s degree or pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field from an accredited program.
  • 0-1 years of applicable experience in drafting, electrical design, or similar technical work.
  • Basic proficiency in CADD software (e.g., AutoCAD, AutoCAD MEP, or similar software).
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook).
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Willingness to learn and contribute in a team environment.

What we prefer you bring:

  • Familiarity with electrical systems in infrastructure or building projects.
  • Exposure to engineering design environments through internships, coursework, or co-op programs.
  • Basic understanding of construction documentation and industry standards.
 
Compensation:
The salary range for this role is $25.00 per hour. Salary is dependent upon experience and geographic location.
