What you'll be challenged to do:

The ideal candidate will be responsible for configuring, administering, and optimizing Cityworks environments to meet client-specific needs. This includes developing service requests, work orders, inspections, and related workflows, as well as supporting ESRI-based GIS infrastructure. The position demands a strong technical background in GIS architecture, cloud environments, and database systems, along with hands-on experience in geospatial data management and system operations. The analyst will play a key role in ensuring reliable access to GIS applications, maintaining system documentation, and implementing best practices for both Cityworks and ESRI platforms.

This is an excellent opportunity to join and enhance a dynamic team engaged in a wide range of geospatial and IT-driven projects across industries such as transportation, water, and energy. The role centers on configuring and maintaining Cityworks AMS/PLL environments, supporting asset management initiatives, and leading migration efforts from Cityworks 15 to 23. The successful candidate will contribute to data analytics, visualization, and automated decision support systems, while collaborating with stakeholders to develop workflows and ensure seamless integration of GIS and asset management solutions.

In this capacity, the successful candidate will be responsible for the following:

  • Configure and maintain Cityworks AMS/PLL environments (v15 and v23).
  • Support and lead migration activities from Cityworks 15 to Cityworks 23, including data validation, testing, and configuration updates.
  • Develop, configure, and manage service requests, work orders, inspections, and related workflows.
  • Provide user support, troubleshoot system issues, and document solutions.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into system configurations.
  • Assist in testing, training, and go-live support for upgrades and enhancements.
  • Collaborate with team members to develop and implement best practices for geospatial data management.
  • Maintain system documentation, configuration standards, and best practices.
  • Utilize ESRI's latest desktop and online software suites (ArcGIS Pro, ArcGIS Server, ArcGIS Online/AGOL/WebApp and Experience Builder) for data management and geospatial analysis.
  • Design and develop GIS systems and databases to support various departmental needs (environmental, public safety, public works, transportation).
  • Create focused and effective map products using ESRI tools.
  • Author and publish GIS data as map or feature services in ArcGIS Online, Portal, or Server for effective data collection and consumption.
  • Develop and configure off-the-shelf software such as Survey123, QuickCapture, and Field Maps for both skilled and unskilled users.
  • Design applications that feature cohesive user interfaces and focus on user experience.
  • Manage geospatial data in various formats, ensuring data quality and development of comprehensive metadata.
  • Communicate effectively, written and verbal, with a team of professionals to leverage GIS technology across the organization.
  • Stay up-to-date on the latest GIS trends and technologies and contribute to shaping the future direction of the team's geospatial strategy.

What you bring to our firm:

  • Bachelor's degree in Geography, GIS, Computer Science or a related field.
  • Minimum 5+ years of experience working with Cityworks configuration and administration.
  • Minimum 3-5+ years of experience working with ESRI's latest desktop and online software suites.
  • Strong knowledge of both Cityworks 15 and Cityworks 23 environments.
  • Understanding of asset management, permitting, licensing, and land use workflows.
  • Experience with data management and geospatial analysis in relevant fields (transportation, environmental, public safety, public works).
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work collaboratively with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Knowledge of software application and data management principles.
  • Experience in database design principles, such as primary keys, relationship classes, and stored procedures
  • Ability to create data standards, metadata, and determine business data requirements and rules.
  • Actively engages multiple perspectives when solving problems, seeks to learn from peers, and encourages reciprocal learning among team members.

What we prefer you bring:

  • Experience working with VUEWorks, AssetWorks or other EAM systems.
  • Direct experience supporting or leading migration efforts between Cityworks versions.
  • Familiarity with Cityworks APIs, SDK, or custom integrations.
