GFT is seeking a Principal Project Manager, Geotechnical Dams & Hydraulics to join our Team in Beaumont, TX! This role follows a hybrid work model, requiring regular attendance at our office.

What you’ll be challenged to do:

The immediate and primary focus of the Principal Project Manager will be on promoting business development, managing and contributing to large projects and ensuring financial viability of the business line in Eastern Texas. You should also offer extensive management experience related to roadway, bridge, hydrology/hydraulics, and infrastructure design projects.

 

You will be responsible for building and nurturing client relationship management, while also identifying, contributing to and leading business and strategic development initiatives for regional objectives and target client programming.

 

In this capacity, the successful candidate will be responsible for the following: 

  • Work collaboratively with GFT’s business lines and other offices to identify and pursue new opportunities.
  • Develop and execute growth & hiring strategy in the East Texas Region.
  • Provide thought leadership, regulatory oversight and mentorship to the developing and growing team and your clients, both internal and external.
  • Project Development by developing and maintaining industry relationships to form project teaming relationships.
  • Serve as project manager and Market / Client / Capture Manager on key assignments
  • Responsible for developing and executing business plans and business development plan
  • Responsible for knowledge of local and regional business environment, key clients, emerging opportunities, geopolitics, etc.
  • Coordinates / supports client managers and capture managers
  • Responsible for input regarding Go-No Go decisions

What you will bring to our firm: 
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering is required
  • Professional Engineer (P.E.) license 
  • 20+ years of experience with an emphasis in design and development of geotechnical deliverables including investigations, reports, drawings and specifications
  • Ability to win projects with a strong network in Eastern Texas 
  • Experience with leading teams
What we prefer you bring: 
• Master’s Degree with a Geotechnical focus is strongly preferred
 
Compensation:
The salary range for this role is $185,000 - $225,000. Salary is dependent upon experience and geographic location.
