What you’ll be challenged to do: 

This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled and motivated Structural Engineer who thrives in a collaborative, multidisciplinary environment. The ideal candidate combines technical expertise with creativity, delivering efficient, buildable, and well-coordinated structural solutions that meet client goals and project challenges.

The successful candidate will have demonstrated professional experience in structural engineering and will contribute to projects spanning a diverse range of building and infrastructure types - including transit facilities, government and higher education buildings, industrial structures, and water/wastewater treatment facilities.

In this capacity, the successful candidate will be responsible for the following:  

  • Perform and review structural design and analysis calculations for steel, concrete, and other materials.
  • Prepare detailed construction drawings and documents for a variety of structures, including transit facilities, industrial buildings, water/wastewater treatment facilities, and other facility-related structures.
  • Develop comprehensive contract documents, including plans, details, and technical specifications.
  • Review and respond to construction submittals, such as shop drawings, RFIs, and contractor requests for information.
  • Conduct structural field observations and assessments for both existing and new structures.
  • Prepare clear, concise engineering reports summarizing analyses, findings, and recommendations.
  • Develop and interpret finite element models to evaluate complex structural behavior.
  • Apply strong technical expertise in steel and concrete design; experience with masonry and wood structures is a plus.
  • Demonstrate broad knowledge of structural engineering principles, building codes, materials, and construction practices.
  • Utilize a strong understanding of applicable codes, technologies, and design standards to ensure quality and compliance.
  • Exhibit excellent organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic project environment.
  • Take initiative to identify solutions, conduct technical research, and improve design efficiency.
  • Collaborate effectively as a proactive, team-oriented contributor.
  • Maintain focus on quality, schedule, and budget throughout project delivery.

 

What you will bring to our firm:  

  • Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering with an emphasis in Structural Engineering is required.
  • PE certification is required.
  • Minimum of 6 years of experience working as a structural design engineer on buildings, transit, or other similar related structural projects.
  • Familiarity with RISA, ETABS, SAP2000, RAM Structural System, RAM Concept, STAAD, Mathcad, TEDDS and other structural engineering analysis and design related software.
  • Experience with AutoCAD and REVIT.

Compensation: 

The salary range for this role is $78,000 - $115,000. Salary is dependent upon experience level.
