GFT is seeking a motivated and experienced Commercial & Reporting Manager  – Rail Infrastructure to join our Construction Services team in New Rochelle, NY to work on a critical megaproject serving the region.

What you’ll be challenged to do:

As part of GFT’s Construction Services team, you will take a lead role in managing the commercial and reporting functions for a megaproject in the region. You will work closely with the client, and internal project teams to ensure accurate forecasting, cost control, and transparent communication of project performance. Your work will contribute to the successful delivery of large design-build rail infrastructure projects that strengthen regional mobility and improve public transit systems.

 

In the capacity, you will be responsible for the following:

  • Leading monthly cost reviews with stakeholders, ensuring timely and accurate reporting.
  • Managing cost sharing processes, identifying variances, and implementing corrective actions as needed.
  • Overseeing project forecasting, including budget projections, financial risk tracking, and cash flow analysis.
  • Coordinating with project managers and technical teams to maintain alignment between cost, schedule, and scope.
  • Preparing and presenting comprehensive monthly cost and performance reports to internal leadership and client representatives.
  • Supporting contract administration and commercial decision making related to change management, funding, and budget compliance.
  • Advising on commercial risk and opportunities to improve project delivery efficiency.
  • Maintaining strong client relationships, ensuring clear communication and consistent application of reporting standards.

What you will bring to our firm:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering or related field preferred.
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in commercial management and/or project controls for large design build infrastructure projects.
  • At least 3 years of direct experience working with Amtrak or other rail/transit authority on commercial or project controls matters.
  • Strong understanding of cost management, scheduling, and reporting processes within complex, multi-agency rail or transit projects.
  • Proven ability to lead cost reviews, manage project forecasts, and deliver accurate financial reports.
  • Proficiency in project controls software and financial reporting tools.
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills, with the ability to collaborate across technical and commercial teams.
  • A proactive approach to identifying issues, managing risks, and maintaining project transparency.

What we prefer you bring:

  • PE preferred
  • Experience with MTA C&D projects preferred

Compensation:

The salary range for this role is $139,000 - $214,000 per year. Salary is dependent upon experience and geographic location.
