What you'll be challenged to do:

This experienced engineer will be responsible for the drawings and designs of building and transportation projects working with senior structural engineers.

In this capacity, the successful candidate will be responsible for the following: 

  • Ability to develop structural drawings in a concise and relevant manner using Revit and AutoCAD following company standards.
  • Proven record of structural design using structural steel, concrete, and light-gage metal. Additional design skills with wood-framing and masonry construction materials are a plus. 
  • Ability to work with various offices and ability to coordinate with various design disciplines in a positive and productive manner. 
  • Perform field inspections of facilities and transit related structures as needed. 
  • Analyze existing structures for retrofits/rehabilitations. 
  • Develop gravity and lateral systems for various building facilities and transit related projects. 
  • Ability to perform field observation work while a project is under construction.

 

 

What you'll bring to our firm:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering with a Structural emphasis is required. 
  • 5 to 7 years of structural design experience required. 
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD and REVIT required. 
  • Proficiency in Ram Structural System, Ram Concept, STAAD, Mathcad, TEDDS and other structural engineering analysis and design related software. 
  • Must be proficient with MS Office software (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) 
  • Must possess a valid driver’s license. 
  • Must have strong written and verbal communication skills. 
  • Detail orientated with strong people and team skills. 
  • Must be capable of field inspection activity such as climbing ladders and using man lifts. 
  • Must be capable of performing assigned tasks on active construction sites when needed. 

What we prefer you bring:

  •  
  • Master’s Degree in Structural Engineering (MS) is  preferred but not required. 
  • Massachusetts PE (Structural) license is preferred at hire, but ability to obtain a Massachusetts PE (Structural Engineering) license within 12 months of hire. 

 

Compensation:

The salary range for this role is $91,500 -$115,000. Salary is dependent upon experience and geographic location.
