GFT is seeking a Sr. Consultant to our office in Berkeley, CA. This role follows a remote work model.

In this capacity, you will be responsible for the following: 

 

  • Provide professional risk expertise in the oversight of Federally funded infrastructure projects.
  • Maintain expertise in cost control, scheduling, value engineering, risk analysis, life-cycle costing, and project/construction management.
  • Collaborate with owners, clients, and stakeholders to assess budgets, schedules, and contingency forecasts for complex and evolving projects.
  • Facilitate risk workshops and studies across multiple sectors of the construction industry.
  • Develop and update risk models for capital projects using Monte Carlo simulation.
  • Apply qualitative and quantitative modeling techniques using tools such as @RISK and Pertmaster.
  • Maintain and periodically review the risk register with the project team to ensure that identified risks are addressed and that new risks are evaluated and a plan to address them developed and implemented.
  • Serve as a technical resource and subject matter expert in risk assessment and mitigation.

What you will bring to our firm: 

  • Bachelor’s degree in construction, Engineering, Economics, Statistics, Business Management, or equivalent.
  • 30 years of risk management experience in the construction industry.
  • Certification as a Risk Management Professional (PMI-RMP or DRMP) is required.
  • Must have expert knowledge in performing probability modeling using factoring and Monte Carlo simulation for risk analysis related to cost and schedule values.
Compensation:
The hourly range for this role is $150.00 - $180.00. Salary is dependent upon experience and geographic location.
