GFT is proud to sponsor and participate in the Penn State ASCE Tailgate and Construction Management recruiting events. This requisition has been created to support outreach efforts associated with these events and to help identify talented individuals interested in internship opportunities within our Construction Services practice.

As a Construction Management Intern, you will gain hands-on experience supporting transportation and infrastructure projects while working alongside experienced construction managers, engineers, and inspectors. Through mentorship, field exposure, and meaningful project assignments, you will develop the technical and professional skills necessary for a successful career in the construction industry.

In this capacity, the successful candidate will be responsible for the following: 

  • Support real client projects by participating in construction observation and/or inspection of construction activities.
  • Interface with the project team and task managers.
  • Review and update submittal status reports.
  • Assist with preparing schedule reports.
  • Maintain project files/documentation including logs.
  • Manage online project document control system.
  • Attend project meetings and assist with keeping minutes.

What you'll bring to our firm:

  • Currently enrolled in an accredited undergraduate or graduate degree program in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or related discipline.
  • Demonstrated interest in construction management through applied coursework, prior internships, or other work experiences.
  • Must have the ability to interface with all levels of personnel and management.
  • Ability to thrive in a team environment.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Will require outside work in a variety of weather conditions.
 
Compensation:
The salary range for this role is $21.00 - $28.00. Salary is dependent upon experience and geographic location.
