Responsibilities

Scope of Work:
  • Analysis - Analyze complex traffic data to propose/develop solutions and tactical plans to optimize roadway operations in the LaGuardia Landside Transportation Command Center Control
  • Research and analysis of statistical data streams to produce metric performance measures for Traffic Operations
  • Writing, development updating of Standard Operating Procedures & Operations Manuals
  • Interact with PA TCCC managers & personnel to relay a clear, concise and consistent operating pictureGenerate, receive, and respond to calls pertaining to various persons/organizations/agencies
  • Responsible for timeliness, completeness and accuracy of assigned administrative requirements
  • Technical development of initial and recurrent training programs related to  TCCC Operations
  • Other ad-hoc employee proficiency initiatives as assigned by TCC Managers
  • Assist efforts to enhance Control Room Operations processes
  • Review Control Room reference materials for adequacy and quality assurance, Assist the development of relative materials
  • Prepare correspondence, reports, and electronic communications
  • Participate in meetings, seminars, conferences, and committees as assigned
  • Other duties as assigned by the TCCC Manager

Qualifications

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Transportation, Management, Engineering or like.
  • Education can be substituted with a minimum of five years of transportation management center operations experience

Licence:

  • Drivers License in good standing

 

Minimum Requirements:

  • Experienced in and/or knowledgeable of traffic monitoring and traffic control systems
  • Capable of executing business communications; to include: memos, reports, analysis, etc.
  • Capable of multi-tasking and working in a fast paced environment
  • Competent in all MSOffice products
  • Technical writing skills to include grammar editing and content flow
  • Creative approach to training program design and delivery
  • Project management experience (a plus)
  • Public speaking and presentation skills
  • Time management experience (required)
  • Scheduling flexibility
