In the Gannett Fleming family of companies, Gannett Fleming Project Development Corp (GFPDC) is the Design-Build, EPC Contractor leading the complete project delivery to our various clients.

Our Design Build team is looking for a number of positions including a Pre-Construction Manager to join our team!  We service a wide variety of clients and work on projects in multiple arenas including: Renewable Energy, pharmaceutical and biotechnology, industrial waste, site remediation, water/wastewater treatment, corporate, power/utility, commercial/industrial facilities.   Successful candidates will have the opportunity to be lead or assist on multi-discipline projects on a local, regional and national level.   Consider joining our team and contributing to our on-going success while setting the pace of your career.

 

Our Raleigh, NC offices are seeking a highly-motivated Project Scheduler for pharmaceutical and biotechnology projects of various types and sizes; performs a wide variety of tasks related to coordination and management of process and purification systems, laboratory and facilities’ operation, engineering, and construction; coordinates permitting; administers design and construction contracts; coordinates complex construction and engineering projects;

Responsibilities:

  • Develop proposal schedules with estimators during bid process
  • Develop preliminary, initial and progress schedules
  • Develop cost and labor resource loaded schedules
  • Develop narrative report, schedule reports, activity reports, logic reports, earning by CLIN, cash flow/schedule variance control diagrams
  • Coordinate with project management for schedule updates
  • Conduct time impact analysis throughout the build
  • Comfortable utilizing multiple scheduling software packages (P6, Project, etc)
  • Develop and Maintain detailed CMP schedules with loaded resources
  • Develop recovery schedules and claim schedules when required
  • Integration of contractors schedules into Master CMP Schedules
  • Perform Quantity Take Offs
  • Detail and Define Scopes of work
  • Coordinate and attend project walk thru’ s and pre-bid meetings
  • Participate in Pre-Construction, Participate in Procurement and Expediting
  • Bid and Proposal preparation
  • Work with project staff and management
  • Interaction and coordination with clients’s representative

 

Additional Responsibilities

  • Estimating and Budgeting
  • Management of multiple projects for various clients
  • Constructability reviews working
  • Assisting with future PDC and GF Inc. projects

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management or related discipline preferred; commensurate experience in construction projects including experience in estimating, planning, management, coordination and scheduling, and design-build work will be considered. 
  • 5 - 10 years of life science and/or pharmaceutical estimating for construction management, design/build, general contracting and owners representative experience.
  • Significant experience working on the construction of pharmaceutical projects, design-build projects, Engineer, Procure and Construct (EPC) and owner’s representative projects is required
  • P.E. license is a plus but not a requirement.
  • Experienced with cGMP spaces, construction phasing and organization of building components
  • Ability to understand and integrate contractual obligations into project control tools
  • Knowledge of Quality Assurance (QA) and Environmental, Health & Safety (EHS) standards
  • Experience working to regulatory standards: FDA, Good Engineering Practice (GEP), Good Manufacturing Procedures (GMP) and Good Documentation Practices (GDP)
  • Strong Understanding of mechanical and electrical systems.
  • Preferred understanding of pharmaceutical clean utilities/systems including: WFI, USP, CIP, clean steam, clean dry air, and other high purity process systems.
  • Preferred understanding of clean room ISO classification and general knowledge around systems to meet these classifications.
  • Ability to compile and analyze data
  • Organizational skills, oral & written communication and team attitude

Working knowledge of basic computer software, P6, Microsoft Project, etc.
