Gannett Fleming’s Construction Management Practice in New York area is currently seeking top-notch Construction Management Resident Engineers for water, wastewater, sewer and watermain projects.   Projects are located in the New York Metro area. 



  • Provide Quality Assurance and technical guidance
  • Conduct and/or facilitates construction meetings
  • Coordinate and manage inspectors and on-site personnel
  • Prepare/Review change order documents
  • Review/Negotiate monthly pay estimates with Contractors
  • Prepare/Review  correspondence to clients and contractors
  • Assist Document Control staff with Contractor schedule compliance
  • Prepare progress reports
  • Prepare Substantial and Final Completion documents
  • Schedule and oversee testing agencies
  • Oversee maintenance of project records
  • Facilitate response to contractor Requests For Information
  • Coordinate equipment and facility start-up activities



  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management or related discipline   
  • PE, Required;   CCM desirable
  • Must possess OSHA 10-hour or OSHA 30-hour certification or the ability to obtain within 3 months of hire
  • 10+ years construction experience
  • Experience working with NYCDDC and/or NYCDEP.
  • Ability to utilize computer systems for documentation and data management equipment 
  • Ability to read, analyze and evaluate  construction schedules
  • Ability to read and interpret plans and contract specifications
  • Skilled at applying mathematical formulas and engineering principles to determine field adjustments.
  • Ability to communicate inspection items effectively and responsibly (verbally and in writing) with internal and external customers (i.e., contractors, owners, sub consultants, designers, architects and fellow team members).
  • Ability to stand and sit as needed on project work sites, climb ladders, work at heights, and work outdoors in a wide range of weather conditions, periodic weekend and night work may be required
  • Ability to safely navigate construction work sites with uneven terrain
  • Valid Driver’s License
