The Mid-Atlantic Region’s Business Development (BD) and Proposal team is an interdepartmental team that supports multiple Gannett Fleming Business Lines and, as such, is an internal client service organization. The Assistant Proposal Specialist supports BD activities and the planning, development, and production of proposals, including statements of qualifications (SOQs) and sales presentations.
The Assistant Proposal Specialist is an excellent opportunity for a recent graduate or someone who has experience working up to two years in a related industry and supporting the preparation and coordination of proposals, technical reports, and other business writing needs. The Assistant Proposal Specialist performs the following functions: researching, compiling, organizing, writing, and editing text and graphic content; maintaining selected marketing databases; and performing other support tasks as part of a broader team of business development support professionals. The Assistant Proposal Specialist should possess knowledge and understanding of business writing/editing/formatting principles and practices; demonstrate excellent inter-personal and communication skills; work well as part of a team; have a strong desire to learn about the markets and clients served by Gannett Fleming; and be driven to succeed by delivering quality and timely support to others. Required skills include: task management, time management, multi-tasking, collaboration, and resourcefulness
