Our Marlton, New Jersey office is looking for a team oriented (HVAC Engineer) Mechanical Engineer to join our growing MEP team!  Successful candidates will have or be in focused pursuit of his or her EIT or PE credentials.  The ideal candidate will possess effective interpersonal communications skills, will be up to speed on current code requirements and will have a strong technical foundation with an interest in learning more about the facility design industry. 






  • General knowledge base for Building MEP Design and Building Services Coordination. Mechanical systems’ layout in Revit/AutoCAD MEP/AutoCAD or equivalent BIM software.  Preference will be given to candidate’s Revit experience and certification.
  • BS in Mechanical Engineering 
  • 4-8 years experience in AEC industry
  • Ability to work with and apply REVIT and BIM software features (AutoDesk) including the modification and application of “families” for specific applications and optimizing Architectural data sets in REVIT and BIM.
  • Excellent computer skills and working knowledge of MS Word, Excel and Outlook.
  • Solid track record of applying HVAC engineering design skills including applied Controls Systems, including control riser diagram and sequence of operations.  Strong understanding and experience with equipment function and equipment layouts.  Development and understanding of line diagrams for air handers, pumps, fans, compressors, boilers, chillers, heat exchangers, etc.   
  • Project experience applying Plumbing design skills including water supply, drainage and vent systems piping layouts and line diagrams.
  • Ability to independently and creatively apply Trane Trace 700 or similar, Load Calculations, Energy Use Simulations, Operating and Life Cycle Cost analyses programs for various system applications including dual fuel sourcing, day-lighting, ground source heating and cooling, natural ventilation and hybrid system applications.  Knowledge of modelling utility company rate structures a plus.
  • Basic understanding of controls to support writing sequences of operation in plain language.  Also basic understanding of  controls instrumentation hardware knowledge a plus. 
  • High receptivity to mentoring, learning and sharing of work knowledge for the benefit of the team.
  • Effective interpersonal communication skills to support cooperative work efforts.
  • Personal inclination to learn and grow via internal training, external training and senior staff mentorship.   
  • Demonstrates technical focus and ability when working with detailed MEP equipment and systems information.
  • Ability and willingness to support Client Site services including surveys and inspections.


The success of our multidisciplinary project teams depends on principles of accountability and open and effective communications.  Our work requires close coordination with in-house Architectural, Structural, Electrical and Automatic Temperature Control specialists.  As a mechanical engineer, you will also be expected to communicate with external vendors and specialist on a weekly basis.
