Our Marlton, New Jersey office is looking for a team oriented Mechanical Designer to join our growing MEP team!  Successful candidates will have a strong interest in BIM software, professional development, learning, training and career development.  The ideal candidate will possess effective interpersonal communications skills, will be up to speed on current BIM software and models and will have a strong interest in building a technical foundation with an interest in learning more about the facility design industry.





  • 2-5 years of experience in Revit/AutoCAD MEP/AutoCAD or equivalent BIM software.  Preference will be given to candidate’s Revit experience and certification.  Experience gained in an educational setting applies to this criteria. 
  • Demonstrated technical focus and ability to perform advanced modeling/design functions, and knowledge of BIM workflows.
  • Hands on experience modifying and applying  families for equipment, fixtures and other necessary components as required for the project.
  • Excellent computer skills and working knowledge of MS Word, Excel and Outlook.
  • High receptivity to mentoring, learning and sharing of work knowledge for the benefit of the team.
  • Effective interpersonal communication skills to support cooperative work efforts.
  • Personal inclination to learn and grow via internal training, external training and senior staff mentorship.   
  • Demonstrates technical focus and ability when working with detailed MEP equipment and systems information.
  • Ability and willingness to support Client Site services including surveys and inspections.


Desired, but not mandatory qualifications:

  • Strong understanding of Architectural and Structural backgrounds and models for coordination with MEP.
  • Ability to manage and update BIM design model and backgrounds regularly. Capable of troubleshooting issues with BIM models.
  • Experienced in running clash detection and maintaining high quality drawings throughout the course of project. Navisworks.
  • HVAC design skills including demonstrated understanding of equipment function and experience with equipment layouts for air handers, pumps, fans, compressors, boilers, heat exchangers, chillers, etc.   
  • Plumbing design skills including water supply, drainage and vent systems piping layouts.
  • Computer based analytical and programming skills required for Building Loads Simulation and Energy Modeling.   


The success of our multidisciplinary project teams depends on principles of accountability and open and effective communications.  Our work requires close coordination with in-house Architectural, Structural, Electrical and Automatic Temperature Control specialists.  Attention to detail is paramount.  As a mechanical designer, you will also be expected to communicate with external vendors and specialist on a weekly basis.
