    Gannett Fleming has an immediate need for a Senior Bridge Engineer - Project Manager with a strong interest and experience in bridge and heavy civil projects.  You will be based in our Toronto Office, responsible for leading structural engineering design. A solid background in project management and administration, structural engineering, planning, proposal writing organizational skills and excellent communication skills are mandatory.

    • Leading project teams and supervision of design engineers, technicians and field engineers;
    • Preparing high-quality proposals, studies and technical reports;
    • Analysis and design of bridges and other structures, including new design, load ratings and rehabilitation/retrofit of existing structures;
    • Business development and client management;
    • Project management and engineering review of design drawings;
    • Preparation of tender documents, quantities and contract administration and management;
    • Management of the structural group scheduling and budgets

    Minimum Qualifications

    • Degree in Civil Engineering (post-graduate degree is an asset);
    • Registered Licensed Professional Engineer (P.Eng)
    • More than 15 years of structural bridge design experience in Ontario, coupled with design and construction experience on heavy civil projects;
    • Minimum of 10 years of experience in managing a team of engineering professionals;
    • Experience with Canadian Highway Bridge Codes and Canadian design standards and procedures;
    • Experience with Ministry of Transportation and Infrastructure standards and documents;
    • Familiarity with MMC, CCDC, NMS and CDBI documents;
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills;
    • Excellent technical writing skills and superior attention to detail;
    • Highly motivated and enthusiastic;
    • Able to work independently and as a valued team member, with a demonstrated ability to manage projects and clients
