    What You Will Do

     

    Gannett Fleming’s Facilities Division is seeking an Electrical Engineer to work in our Los Angeles, CA office. Join our Journey!

     

    The Facilities Division provides building-focused engineering services to a variety of commercial, municipal, industrial, and institutional clients. We provide analysis, evaluation, plans, and design for facility projects that involve remodel, expansion, new construction, and process change. We provide design services in mechanical/HVAC, plumbing, fire protection, electrical/lighting, structural, security, data and voice communications, energy management, audio visual, civil/utility, site development, and architectural disciplines.  

     

    As an Electrical Engineer, your reponsibilities will include:

    • Performing site survey of existing system conditions.
    • Design of various mechanical system including air side and water side design, central plant, variable air volume and constant air volume systems, small and large HVAC systems, VRF systems, UFAD, dehumidification systems.
    • Construction assistance including shop drawing review, contractor relations, and site surveys
    • Lead and participate in meetings clients, state agencies, city agencies, utility service representatives and project teams.
    • Deliver projects on time and within client budgets
    • Deliver projects in compliance with client and company quality control procedures and engineering guidelines
    • Participate on project teams in an active production role
    • Preparation of project specifications
    • Preparation of electrical construction cost estimates
    • Daily interaction and collaboration on cross-functional teams across multiple disciplines
    • Coordination and verification of as-built drawings
    • Perform quality work that promotes client retention
    • Responsible for the development of reports and design documents, including HVAC floor plans, schematic diagrams, load calculations, title 24 calculations, controls, details and specifications for the project.

     

    Minimum Qualifications

     

    • 5-10 years of experience
    • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering
    • PE required in state of CA.
    • Must have experience with NEC and other related NFPA Standards.
    • Must have experience with CSI MasterFormat Specifications.
    • Must have experience in facilities, utility and government projects. 
    • Must have extensive knowledge of Low Voltage power systems. 

     

     

    Preferred Qualifications

     

    • Experience with Medium Voltage systems is highly desirable.
    • Experience with Electrical Engineering software (e.g. SKM Power Tools or ETAP) is desirable. 
    • Experience with AutoCAD and Revit is desirable.
