    What You Will Do


    Gannett Fleming has an outstanding opportunity for  a junior to mid-level Hydrology & Hydraulics Engineer to join a growing water resource team in Piscataway, NJ.


    Project types and duties include analysis and design of stormwater infrastructure including BMPs, ditches, storm drains, erosion and sediment control, and preparation of plans, specifications and construction cost estimates.  


    The successful candidate will have experience in stream floodplain/floodway analysis, hydrologic and hydraulic modeling, drainage analysis and design, environmental permitting and general civil engineering site layout design. Candidates must be proficient in using software packages such as HEC-RAS, HEC-HMS, TR-55, and Microstation. Successful candidates will have hands on experience working on projects supporting various public-sector clients in the New Jersey market such as NJDOT, NJTA and/or NJ Transit.

    Minimum Qualifications


    • B.S. Degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering (or related Engineering field), with emphasis in water resources required
    • 3-6 years water resources-related experience required.
    • Engineering in Training (EIT) strongly preferred.
    • Direct knowledge of permitting requirements for NJDEP and SESC Districts preferred.
    • Demonstrated knowledge of watershed hydrology and open/close system hydraulics.
    • Knowledge/experience with stormwater management design and BMP applications.
    • Proficiency in HEC-RAS, HEC-HMS and TR-55 is required, knowledge of StormCad strongly preferred.
    • Proficiency in Microstation is required, experience in AutoCAD and ArcGIS is a plus.
    • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
