    Gannett Fleming is seeking an industry leader to assist our West Water Business Line in growing our market share in Los Angeles County. Gannett Fleming currently maintains an office in downtown Los Angeles with 30+ staff with multi-disciplinary expertise and is fast growing.

     

    For the past 4 years, Gannett Fleming has been building a presence in Los Angeles County and desires to expand this growth with this key hire. This position will be directly supported by the existing Water Business Line resources in Southern California, which includes offices in Oxnard, Irvine and San Marcos.

     

    Principal Client Manager - Water Business Line

     

    Grow Los Angeles

    • In conjunction with Regional Leadership, prepare and execute a Los Angeles focused strategic plan for growing Gannett Fleming water market share. Perform on-going market research and analysis to access potential client needs and objectives.
    • Lead and manage water/wastewater business development activities to effectively grow market share for the firm. 
    • Identify potential clients and lead initiatives for enhanced business development performance and efficiencies for continued growth. Develop a deep understanding of the client requirements in order to create customer-specific capture strategies, structure and build pursuit teams; and oversight of proposal development process.
    • Lead the growth of the Los Angeles Water Business Line, including identifying and managing key hires to support growth.

     

    Project Execution

    • Act as Project Principal to oversee multiple, concurrent projects through the entire life cycle, from project development through construction completion to meet client objectives.
    • Serve as Project Manager on strategic projects in Southern California.
    • Coordinate resources across Water Business Line in delivery of projects.

     

    Regional Leader

    • Support large project pursuits in Southern California
    • Execute long-term business and marketing strategies targeting water/wastewater industry.
    • Closely collaborate with internal practice leadership team (PLT) across multiple regions to facilitate achievement of the waste/wastewater business goals, aligned with the overall growth strategy.
    • Develop and manage internal and external relationships to facilitate the successful delivery of all assignments.
    • Support regional strategic planning and annual business planning process.

    Minimum Qualifications

    • Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering or other related fields, advanced degree preferred
    • Professional Engineer, PE
    • 20+ years of relevant water/wastewater facility, conveyance and utility system planning, program and project/construction management experience
    • Progressive management and leadership experience, with preference given to medium to large-scale water and wastewater capital programs
    • Demonstrated successful performance in the development of significant client accounts and revenue based upon client service, project satisfaction, technical quality, schedules and budget compliance.
    • Proven ability and accomplishments in leading medium to large-scale water/wastewater projects – ability to communicate program successes and challenges in an articulate manner
