    We are currently seeking a Transit Project Architect  to join the architectural practice in our downtown Toronto office. This is an excellent opportunity for the right individual to join our growing architectural presence at this location. The primary focus for the office is currently rail and transit facility design; with work on a wide variety of public and private sector projects also possible.  Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

    • Production of conceptual designs and renderings for presentations
    • Development of presentations, designs and technical solutions through all phases
    • Preparation of architectural working drawings and project specifications
    • Review of shop drawings and other construction administration work
    • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
    • Assistance with the preparation of proposals
    • Assistance with marketing and client management

     

     

     

     

    • Bachelors or Master’s degree in Architecture
    • Registered Architect or capable of obtaining registration within 6-12 months
    • 8-12 years' post-graduate experience required, including 3-5 years of experience with public rail or transit systems
    • Proficiency in REVIT Building Information Modeling with experience in both design and construction documentation
    • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, AutoCAD Architectural Desktop and Adobe Creative Suite
    • Experience with 3D Modeling software such as SketchUp Pro, Rhino or3D Max is a plus
    • Must be dynamic and creative, with a strong knowledge of building science and construction details
    • Working knowledge of current local and international building codes; OBC, NFPA, OADA, LEED, and knowledge of related standards such as ANSI, ASTM, ASHRAE, etc.
    • Must be able to work effectively in team situations and establish strong relationships with other teams where overlap of client project work exists.
    • Experience with specification writing/editing. 
    • Excellent communication and organizational skills
