    These are exciting times at Gannet Fleming and GFPDC! Our Design Build team is looking for a number of positions including a Project Manager / Project Estimator to join our team!  We service a wide variety of clients and work on projects in multiple arenas including: Pharmaceutical and biotechnology, industrial waste, water/wastewater treatment, corporate, power/utility, commercial/industrial facilities.   As a result, successful candidates will have the opportunity to be lead or assist on multi-discipline projects on a local, regional and national level.   Consider joining our team and contributing to our on-going success while setting the pace of your career.

    Our Piscataway, NJ office are seeking a highly-motivated Project Manager /Project Estimator
    for various industries, clients and projects of various types and sizes. We are seeking an individual who can successfully perform as an Estimator and is also capable of managing projects as a Project Manager when needed and as the work load dictates.



    • Oversee and /or participate in Pre-Construction for assigned projects
    • Perform quantity take offs
    • Costing of material and labor as well as production factors
    • Prepare Invitations to Bid
    • Detail and define Scopes of Work
    • Coordinate and attend project walk thru’ s and pre-bid meetings
    • Estimating and budgeting of Engineer, Procure and Construction (EPC), Lump Sum, and Turn-Key projects
    • Participate in procurement and expediting
    • Scheduling and Budgeting participation
    • Develop conceptual budgets
    • Bid and proposal preparation
    • Bid leveling and comparisons
    • Constructability reviews
    • Change and cost control and management
    • Day to day field coordination of multiple estimates and proposals
    • Interaction and coordination with clients’ representative
    • Manage and Execute the Procurement and Expediting Process of projects
    • Develop project schedules for assigned projects both for estimating and management purposes
    • Change and Cost Control and Management utilizing an anticipated cost report
    • Overall Field Project Management of subcontractors and vendors contracted directly to the company
    • Day to Day field coordination of all subcontractors/vendors, client and end users as well as designers
    • Interaction and coordination with client’s representative
    • Safety and Quality Control
    • Invoice Preparation
    • Closeout and Punchlist
    • Participate and at times lead the value engineering process for assigned projects
    • Management of multiple projects for various clients
    • Management of field personnel and Project Managers assigned to projects



    Minimum Qualifications

    • Candidate should have experience working on projects as a General Contractor or Construction Manager (@ risk) this is not a “Resident Engineer, Inspector or “CM” position.
    • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management or related discipline preferred; commensurate experience in construction projects including experience in planning, management, coordination and scheduling, and design-build work will be considered. 
    • 5-10 years of construction management and estimating experience.
    • Significant experience working on the construction of design-build facilities, owner’s representative positions, general contracting of various projects a plus.
    • Experience working in occupied facilities working closely with the client and the end users
    • Experience with scheduling/estimating software is a plus.
    • Proficiency with computer software including Microsoft Word, Excel, and Project is required.
    • Proficiency in Project Management software (Procore, Prolog/Expedition, Contract Manager, Procore etc.) required
    • Candidates should be willing to commute to various project sites.
    • Opportunity to travel available
